Code of Conduct

(Referenced in Part 10.3 of the Bylaws.)

Preamble

The Global Technology Council (GTC) exists to unite technology leaders across geographies, cultures, and industries, creating a movement of shared learning, innovation, and responsibility.

As custodians of digital leadership, Members of GTC carry not only the responsibility of advancing technology but also of upholding universal values of integrity, fairness, inclusivity, and respect for humanity.

This Code of Conduct sets forth the principles and standards that guide the behavior of all Members, Directors, Ambassadors, Partners, Sponsors, and Participants engaged in GTC activities worldwide. It aligns with global best practices, including principles espoused OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and other international standards of governance and conduct.

By joining and participating in GTC, every individual affirms their commitment to these principles and to conduct themselves in a way that reflects the Forum’s mission of building trust, leadership, and sustainable value in the digital era.

1. Professionalism

1.1 Members shall act with the highest standards of professional competence, diligence, and accountability in all Forum activities.

1.2 Members shall maintain confidentiality of information shared within the Forum, except where authorized or legally required to disclose.

1.3 Conflicts of interest must be disclosed promptly to the Forum’s Board or relevant committee.

1.4 Misuse of Forum resources, platforms, or membership for personal, political, or commercial gain that undermines GTC’s mission is strictly prohibited.

1.5 Members shall uphold the Forum’s reputation by ensuring their public statements, affiliations, or representations are consistent with ethical standards and do not bring the Forum into disrepute.

2. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

2.1 GTC affirms its commitment to diversity and equal opportunity across all aspects of membership, leadership, and participation.

2.2 No individual shall be discriminated against based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, culture, language, nationality, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

2.3 Members are encouraged to foster environments where all voices are heard and valued, particularly from under-represented communities.

2.4 Gender balance and representation from diverse geographies and industries shall be actively promoted in GTC programs, events, panels, and leadership opportunities.2.5 Harassment, bullying, or exclusionary behavior of any form will result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal.

3. Ethics and Integrity

3.1 Members shall adhere to the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and transparency in their professional and personal dealings within GTC.

3.2 Members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and international norms, particularly in relation to data protection, intellectual property, and anti-bribery standards.

3.3 Plagiarism, falsification of achievements, misrepresentation of credentials, or submission of fraudulent information is strictly forbidden.

3.4 Members shall not accept or provide gifts, hospitality, or sponsorships that could improperly influence decision-making or compromise independence.

3.5 All financial or sponsorship relationships within GTC must be conducted with full transparency and accountability.

4. Event Behavior

4.1 GTC events (regional, global, digital, or hybrid) are platforms for respectful dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration.

4.2 Participants must treat speakers, organizers, partners, and fellow attendees with dignity, civility, and respect at all times.

4.3 Disruptive, abusive, offensive, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

4.4 Alcohol consumption at GTC events must be responsible and mindful of local customs and sensitivities.

4.5 Unauthorized photography, recording, or distribution of event content is prohibited without prior consent.

4.6 Event platforms, apps, and networking spaces are to be used responsibly, strictly for professional engagement and knowledge exchange, not for spam, solicitation, or misuse.

5. Accountability and Enforcement

5.1 Any violation of this Code shall be subject to review by the Ethics & Conduct Committee, appointed by the GTC Board.

5.2 Disciplinary measures may include: Verbal or written warning Suspension of membership or participation rights Removal from events or leadership roles Termination of membership

5.3 All complaints will be handled with confidentiality, impartiality, and fairness.5.4 Members have the right to appeal disciplinary actions to the Board, whose decision shall be final.

6. Shared Responsibility

6.1 Upholding this Code is a collective duty of every Member and participant in the Global Technology Council.

6.2 Members are encouraged to hold one another accountable in a constructive and respectful manner.

6.3 By engaging with GTC, each individual agrees to act as an ambassador of trust, innovation, and ethical leadershipin the global technology ecosystem.

7. Reference to Bylaws

This Code of Conduct is an addendum to the Global Technology Council Bylaws and is referenced under Part 10.3. It carries equal standing with the Bylaws and must be adhered to by all Members and participants.
